The Truth About Laser Therapy

Laser, the miracle every girl needs and dreams of, especially hairy girls.
Honestly, contrary to popular belief we do not enjoy walking around like Esau. For those of you steemitians or steemite who do not know who Esau is, he is that hairy guy in the bible that sold his birthright to his younger brother for a plate of pottage. I hope it was worth it though, because my birthright for a plate of tasteless pottage isn't a fair deal.
Enough drifting back to the main issue.

What is laser therapy?
Laser therapies are medical treatments that use focused light. Unlike most light sources, light from a laser (which stands for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation) is tuned to specific wavelengths. This allows it to be focused into powerful beams. Laser light is so intense that it can be used to shape diamonds or cut steel.

In medicine, lasers allow surgeons to work at high levels of precision by focusing on a small area, damaging less of the surrounding tissue. If you have laser therapy, you may experience less pain, swelling, and scarring than with traditional surgery. However, laser therapy can be expensive and require repeated treatments.

USES

What is laser therapy used for?
Laser therapy may be used to:

shrink or destroy tumors, polyps, or precancerous growths
relieve symptoms of cancer
remove kidney stones
remove part of the prostate
repair a detached retina
improve vision
treat hair loss resulting from alopecia or aging
treat pain, including back nerve pain
Lasers can have a cauterizing, or sealing, effect and may be used to seal:

nerve endings to reduce pain after surgery
blood vessels to help prevent blood loss
lymph vessels to reduce swelling and limit the spread of tumor cells
Lasers may be useful in treating the very early stages of some cancers, including:

cervical cancer
penile cancer
vaginal cancer
vulvar cancer
non-small cell lung cancer
basal cell skin cancer
For cancer, laser therapy is usually used alongside other treatments, such as surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation.

Laser therapy is also used cosmetically to:

remove warts, moles, birthmarks, and sun spots
remove hair
lessen the appearance of wrinkles, blemishes, or scars
remove tattoos.

Since we now know what laser is, let me tell you guys about my experience. I am a "waxmaniac" after doing it for years I was finally tired, so I decided to get the miracle treatment.

yeah! Finally!

No, do not be so excited yet.
I did a lot of research, asked questions and prepared my mind. On a bright sunny day, I gallantly walked to a certified laser house. When I got there, they were really nice, they gave me a form to fill and a paper that clearly stated the details of the procedure. The therapist was super sweet, she asked if it was my first time and all. Of course it was my first time, wasn't it obvious? She assessed my skin and brought out a razor, at the the sight of the razor my skin shrank.

I am a "waxmaniac" I never use razors but oh well for laser, my miracle laser, please shave away.
She shaved the area and protected my eyes with a pair of glasses. I was in my own world, dreaming about how silky smooth my skin will be from now on when I felt something cold on my skin, it was the ultrasound gel used to protect the skin. During the procedure she kept asking if I felt any pain or itchy sensation. Fortunately everything went well and it wasn't painful but pain is subjective, so you may feel something.
So far, I haven't noticed any difference, I guess it's because I haved had only one session. Hopefully after my third session there should be reasonable improvement

If you want to ever visit a laser therapist for that silky smooth baby skin, please consider the following:

Your hair must be pigmented or the laser won't be able to recognize it. This means if you're gray, red, or pale blonde, you might not get the results you're hoping for. Those with dark hair and light skin are the best candidates.

It is a big-ticket procedure, from $40 upward.

There you have it, the truth about laser therapy. I am so sorry that this isn't a conspiracy theory. I know the tittle screams conspiracy theory but worry not, one of these days I will make it up to you steemitians or steemites. Please bear with me, I am new.
