Well, I was able to order some sweet silver with HIVE (indirectly), but what an arduous fcuking process ☹️
A few weeks back I posted a bunch of silver for spot deals on Silver Gold Bull in different countries. After that post I was browsing my local SGB.com site and saw these sweet 2oz silver pistols poured by Monarch Precious Metals were on sale.
I've been turning all my Hive-Engine token drips and pool rewards and other profits into SWAP.LTC for a while and knew I had enough for two of these so I decided to try and order them with that money.
Unfortunately, silver gold bull uses a third party app, Bitpay, to facilitate it's crypto purchases and it STILL SUCKS.
It's been a few years since I've ordered silver directly with crypto, and honestly, I was not expecting it to be this difficult.
In the past when I used crypto it was directly through the retailer's website, and it was pretty simple. Fill the cart, choose crypto payment method and coin (btc, ltc...), receive the price and wallet address to send payment, then go into crypto wallet and send.
I remember trying bitpay about three or four years ago and my coins got stuck and I had to submit a ticket and wait and eventually got my money back but that was years ago so you'd think they'd have streamlined the process by now.
Well, they have not. Let me explain.
I filled my silver gold bull cart with the two silver pistols, chose crypto on the payment screen and hit the "order" button. I was then directed to open the bitpay app on my phone, which I did.
Anyhow, enough whining. It seems we should be further along the path of using crypto in every day life.
In the end it worked though. I got my silver and I'm giving one away in the monster raffle, so get yet tickets now!
