Sievierodonetsk: A City of Shattered Hopes

Sievierodonetsk: A City of Shattered Hopes
Sievierodonetsk, once a flourishing city where people lived in peace, developed, and built their future, has now turned into a zone of broken dreams. Just a few years ago, the city enjoyed a full and vibrant life with functioning shops, supermarkets, markets, a working banking system, regular salaries and pensions, and the joy of family comfort under a peaceful sky. Today, it has plunged into darkness and devastation.

The Russian occupying authorities, who came under the guise of "liberation," have brought only death, destruction, and despair. The laughter of children no longer echoes in the courtyards; shops are closed, and there is no electricity, water, or gas. The elderly who have remained are forced to survive on meager handouts occasionally provided by the occupiers. A city that was once a symbol of stability has transformed into a vast camp devoid of any hope for the future.

What Russia calls the "Russian world" is, in reality, the destruction of everything that was important to the residents of Sievierodonetsk. This is the face of occupation—impoverished and destructive both physically and mentally. It destroys not only buildings and infrastructure but also people's faith in a better tomorrow.
