Why I am a Seventh Day Adventist SDA

I was twenty three years old when I got baptized.

At age 13 my mother found the Seventh Day Adventist church and began to push its doctrines down my throat. It felt like that. For about ten years my Mother used all all the rules in the book, and dirty rules to have me understand the SDA message. She threw away all unclean foods, got rid off alcohol my father drank, invited church member to sing in our house, pray in our house, do vigils in our house, invited youth from church to eat in our house, there was always church remembers in my house. I care not for them and kept in my room with door closed, or went out with my friends to stay away from all the Christians. My mother would even tell me that I would go to hell if I was not baptized. In my house was war, I argued all the time with her, this carried on during the next 10 years, until one night I saw God.

I saw God protect me from gang members. I was at a party one night when several gang members arrived and began to hurt my friends badly. One of my friends had his head busted open with a heavy ashtray. He had to get stitches for it. Another of my friends got punched so bad that he fainted for several minutes. That night when my friends were jumped I was the last one to be jumped, but I began to preach. These gang members were going to hurt me, but they heard me preach to them in the middle of the violence. I was scared, but miraculously they left me alone, and left into the night.

I have been friends with gang members for a long time, and have participated in fights. A bunch of people fighting, and some fire arms, baseball bats, and knifes have been involved, but I have never seen dangerous gang members run away because they hear the name of Jesus.

I got baptized and spent 3 months learning everything I could from church. I stayed away from all the parties, and all the gang banging, but I returned to all the gangs 3 months after I was baptized.

I began to bring gang members to churches. To hang out at their spots, in order to share Christ. I saw gang members accept Jesus. Some of them even asked me if I would baptize them. I have spent my life still mixing with the outcasts. Somehow Jesus has given me a gift to share with them in their terrain. I lived like this in my professional life as well. I share Christ with "normal" people. With business men and women. Professionals of all fields. Christ helped me get my G.E.D. a Degree, experience in the business world, I was a drop-out of high school while I was a gang member. Yes, it is worth it to follow Christ. He can turn a nothing into something. There was a time were I was "over-saved" a legalistic SDA. Thank God I am not like this anymore. It hurts everyone. Its a sad life.

If it was not for Christ, living the life of gangs could have had me killed. I am new person, a good citizen a peaceful person, a professional, but much more I want to improve. I know I will get there, because I can see many of my Ebenezers.

My family is my focus now. My legacy is to show my children who their Creator is and what He has done them. To make sure my family clearly understands that there is a Real God, and an impostor. God has allowed me to meet and experience so many wonderful adventures.
The Holly Ghost continues to work with me so I not to loose hope. To look up to Christ and believe in his promises. He will watch over me and and my family. Jesus rescued me from a dangerous country of Venezuela at a young age, He rescued my from gangs, and drugs of America, He has protected me from all sorts of dangers of this earth, has guided me safely through different cities and countries, and will guide us to His Palace.

I know he is my Daddy. I love my Jesus. I know that Jesus Christ is God and He is my Creator
