YouTube's Plan Is to Become a Pay Site Like Netflix and Television, Once they Reached the 2,000 Creators with over 1 million Subscribers Mark they launched their plan. First they added a badge system to randomly flag videos for demonetization, than made it Harder to get monetized in the first place, finally they stopped monetizing New channels all together, currently the vast majority of channels that were eligible for monetization 7 months ago haven't been reviewed yet with no date given as to when they will be, it's purposefully vague so YouTube doesn't have to monetize New Channels because why would you pay to watch YouTubers if you have smaller ones you can watch for free, this is YouTube's Secret plan and the reason they've stopped monetizing New channels
