Continuing my dive into fetish fiction, I found an ebook on my hard drive that I'm not sure I ever read, Good & Filthy by Nikki Morris.
The story centers around a woman named Mikela whose life is a tribute to the mundane. She isn't lusted after by her coworkers, and her love life is fifty shades of vanilla. After overdosing on pornography, she meets a stranger online and leaves for a weekend tryst. What follows is an exploration into the depths of Mikela's lust. Nothing is taboo as the man indulges every twisted fantasy she ever had.
The story ends about two-thirds of the way through the book, and its remainder consists of excerpts from Ms. Morris's other books. Basically, if you like what you read in Good & Filthy, there's more where that came from (pun partially intended).
While there isn't much in the way of an actual plot, the erotic scenes are well-described and titillating. Morris puts you inside of Mikela's thoughts, and you get a strong feeling of what she's thinking and how she's processing what is happening to her.
Originally a Smashwords release, the book does suffer from some editing issues, using "breath" instead of "breathe" and "alter" instead of "altar", as examples. I've read enough self-published books over the years to give this a pass, but even the most basic word processors have some sort of grammar checker these days, and a second pass wouldn't have hurt it at all. Ultimately, it's the book's biggest flaw, as there really isn't a lot of story otherwise.
With a title like Good & Filthy, it should be pretty obvious what you're getting inside. This is pure smut, and if that's what you're after, it totally fits the bill. If you prefer to have more of an actual story, you might want to look elsewhere.
