For one night and two days, I've been watching this Taiwanese romantic drama series starring Jerry Yan (from Meteor Garden) and Shen Yue (from Boys' Over Flowers).
Lu Xing Cheng (Jerry Yan) was a designer who made the Nikki Dress, and Tong Xiao You (Shen Yue) was a dreamer.
I realize that if you do something based on fortune and luck, you won't see the true meaning of perseverance, motivation, and eagerness to learn and to understand difficulties.
Having the courage to learn something that you really love to do is something that has more significance than any other thing that you do without passion. You can't simply say, "This is just my luck," or I was so unlucky. We will not grow for the things that make us entitled to be "lucky".
It is like comparing it to food in that there is an aftertaste. The aftertaste is where you feel the bitter yet sweet success of victory. This isn't a dream but a goal for which you can actually take responsibility and acquire a sense of accountability and knowledge.
