It was a short wait till our meals arrived, we all stopped talking and started our meals.
It was good, the steak was cooled medium the mesh was filling, the mushroom source was average but that didn’t take away from the tasty steak we had.
We were pretty happy with the meal, till the bill came… We ordered three $12 lunch steak special, so we were expecting a $36 bill, however the total bill was $60.
We all looked confused, so Kurt grabbed the bill and started to read the listed items:
3 x steak lunch special: $36
3 x Steak Source : $24
3 X Steak Source $24? So the source was $8 each? Kurt was not happy about this, as the way the waiter asked what source we wanted had no indication that it should cost extra.
Not only that, the source was average and not worth the $8 from the little amount that we got. Kurt went on to have a debate with the waiter, but my other colleague does not like confutation so he went on to pay the bill.
We grabbed Kurt who was still trying to reason with the waiter at the time and left.
The $12 lunch special, turned out to be a $20 lunch, no wonder some people are very cautious these days and double check if there are any hidden charges for things.
