To find, share and reward undervalued photography content across the steemit platform!
And trust us when we say there is plenty of undervalued content out there.
Over the last 3 weeks we have been working tirelessly to iron out kinks in our service and improve it's efficiency and reward structure. Up to now our votes have been worth little; however great things are in the pipeline, and as we continue to build our following and support, we are excited to be giving back to the community in MUCH bigger ways! But this announcement is for a later date.
Right now we would like to showcase some examples of why @rePhoto is giving back to the community. This incredible photography is from YOU, right here on Steemit. The effort and love put into each of these images is what attracts us to them, and the talent shown is what gives us pleasure and makes us smile. This is the beauty of photography.

We look at the payouts on each of these posts and feel as though something is missing! They have "fallen through the cracks" and consequently been left undervalued.
Out of the 5 quality examples above, only 2 were valued at more than $1 and had over 50 page views. If you look at each post there are multiple images, plenty of writing and a lot of physical energy gone into their creation. These are more than just a "quick snap and post". This is why @rePhoto is here; to work alongside photographers in promoting quality photography content, rewarding and sharing it with the rest of the Steemit community!
What is @rePhoto?
Some of the best photography content on steemit is also the most undervalued. This is not through lack of effort, skill or talent of the author, but simply the post falling through the cracks to "the bottom of the pile". This is most common with minnow's and photographer's new to the steemit platform.
rePhoto's primary aim is to give author's at least one more chance of exposure to the photography community. It resteem's only photography content back to photographer's across the steemit platform. rePhoto also use's a random upvote algorithm to increase exposure to post's and furthermore reward photography work through a fair system. There is also manual curation constantly searching for undervalued content to reward.
"@rePhoto is an automated service that looks to curate/upvote and resteem undervalued photography content across the steemit platform. In particular, it aim's to work alongside minnow photographers increasing their exposure and in turn reward payout. Manual curation is used especially to promote authors where additional time, effort and love is clearly reflected in their photography work."
We are here to help the community; bringing beautiful, wonderful and original photography back to the top of the pile.
If you're a photographer, @rePhoto is for YOU!
Remember @rePhoto is designed for YOU, the photography community. The small cost of using our service, which will always be less than $0.10, is reinvested back into the project and used to fund delegation leases, which are then returned back to you in the form of random upvotes.
To find out more about the project, how to use @rePhoto and troubleshooting, visit our introduction page and read our whitepaper.
We wish everyone the best in what they are here to do on Steemit and look forward to continue being a huge part of the photography community!
