The kind of fruit that the Holy Spirit produces in our life is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, fidelity, humility and self-control. There are no laws against those things!
Galatians 5:22-23
Some men took him to a paralytic on a stretcher. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic: "Courage, my son! Your sins are forgiven ».
Matthew 9:2
The joy is in knowing that no matter what happens to us, our heavenly Father is in control of our life and that we have eternal life. Hebrews 12:2 He says: "Because of the joy that awaited him, Jesus endured the cross, regardless of the shame it represented." Jesus never lost His joy because He knew that His Father controlled everything that was happening to Him, and that when His suffering was over, His Father would be honored by what He was doing.
Often, when someone loses joy in their life, it is because their attention is on things in life that have no lasting value. One of the main objectives of the Christian life is to live in such a way that God is deeply honored by it. When we live that way, the Holy Spirit produces joy in our life. You can reach a stage in your life when you rejoice when difficult things happen to you.
The secret to recovering joy is in two words; two beautiful words. The words that call our attention. Jesus said them when the joy turned into sadness. These words could mean: listen, pay attention, cheer up. There is no disappointment or exasperating situation that can not be overcome by His power. Jesus said, "Here in the world you will have many trials and sorrows, but cheer up, for I have overcome the world." (Juan 16:33)
It does not matter what paralyzes us; sin, shame, errors or adversity, "Jesus said to the paralytic:" Courage, my son, your sins are forgiven. " (Matthew 9:2)
When our health fails us, the disease lasts too long, or a broken relationship gives us pain in the heart, Jesus, as he wants, tells us to cheer up. "Just then, a woman who had suffered from a continuous hemorrhage for twelve years approached him from behind, touched the fringe of Jesus' tunic because he thought," If only I touch your tunic, I will be healed. "Jesus gave himself When he saw her, he said, "Courage, daughter, your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed at that moment. (Matthew 9:20-22)
We recover joy when we believe that God has powerfully perfect words. Words to change hearts, erase sins, heal relationships and restore lives.
Lord, please restore my life, amend and heal what is broken and cleanse my sins. Please, fill my life with the joy that You can give. Amen.
