Kudzu Root Chicken Soup

Hi, everyone. What I want to share with you today is Kudzu Root. Kudzu Root is not only has sweet taste, but it is also very nutritious. Kudzu root, also known as kuzu, is mostly used as herb in traditional Chinese medicine.

Kudzu Root has nourishing effects, it helps to improve human's immunity system. It contains all kind of nutrients that is needed by our body. It contains variety of minerals like amino acids, proteins, sugar, iron, calcium, copper, selenium and other minerals.

Besides that, kudzu root is also has many medicinal functions. It helps in cold, fever, chills, spleen deficiency diarrhea, hot and humid diarrhea embolism. It is also commonly used in the treatment of diseases such as release internal heat, diabetes, diarrhea, poor penetration of measles, and dysentery. Treatment of male sexual dysfunction caused by kidney problem can also be solved.

∼∼Kudzu Root Chicken Soup∼∼

Ingredients


Kudzu Root ∼ 200g
Potato ∼ 100g
Chicken breast ∼ 400g
Red dates ∼ 10-15 pieces
Honey dates ∼ 2 pieces
Big dried oyster ∼ 3-4 pieces
Salt ∼ ½ teaspoon

Preparations

  1. Firstly,wash the kudzu root, cut it into thick slices.

  2. Wash the red dates. On a chopping board, cut the red dates and remove the seeds.

  3. Peel off the skin of potato by using a peeler. Wash it and cut into thick cubes on a chopping board.

  4. Wash the dried oyster and honey dates, put aside.

  5. Remove the skin of chicken breast, wash it. On a chopping board, cut the chicken breast into thick slices.

Direction

  1. Put all the kudzu root, potatoes, red dates, honey dates, dried oyster and chicken breast into a soup pot. Then add in 1 litre of boil water.

  2. Boil the pot of water under high heat until it is boiled. Then turns to low heat and continue to cook.

  3. Cook the soup for at least 1½ hours. After 1½ hours, let's try the soup taste, you may add a little bit of salt if you like to have a better taste.
