So I like to eat at McDonald's, and normally when we go we tend to go through the drive through but the other day we decided to go to the store and eat in.

@wrongjohn and his family were with us and we found some seats. Now things have changed in McDonald's they have refurbished their stores and made it more modern. Now I am pro change, I like the new look of things and I like how they put money into the business.

as we went to order there was one girl on the tills taking orders and that was it, now you might be thinking to your self well thats not many people, well your right.
But what McDonald's have done is put in self service machines that take your order and payment, to make it more conveniant for the customer.

I don't like this idea and I'll tell you why.

If a machine is doing a job that some one (human) can do that means there is less jobs. once the machine has made the money that it costs then the shop is making pure profit.

Now @wrongjohn and me had a big debate about the pro and cons about these machines and the manager at the store stud and listened to us talking but did not interact with us.

Now my view is this. if a machine is doing a person's job then what does the person do? that means that the job its doing would take peoples jobs.
Now @wrongjohn said to me that it was a good thing that people can serve themselves, it's faster to get served and you can pay by card.
Now if that machine takes a job, then that means they get to higher fewer people, that in turn gives the company more profit, as they don't have to pay that staff member a wage.
Now @wrongjohn said to me that McDonald's like to high students, so I put it to him, so if I was a student and I dropped out of my classes and didn't do very well in life there would always be a job for someone like me at McDonald's, now if there was a machine doing the job that I could do then that means I am going to struggle to find work.

Can you see my point?

I think the human touch to everything is the best way and we should not be relying on machines to do jobs, now that the country is full there are no jobs and to make fewer jobs is just crazy.

So now that I got that of my chest, I am boycotting McDonald's I advise you do the same as if you need a job in the future, there will be none at McDonalds.
