With Saudi Arabian royalty visiting THE world statesman, President Vladimir Putin of Russia, to discuss "affairs of mutual interest," there is growing speculation of a geopolitical change by Saudi Arabia which will shift it more toward independence and neutrality. This bodes ill for the petrodollar, and the United States' long-held position of possessing the reserve currency for the world now seems certain to diminish to the status of one of the world's currency options in trade. This will bring new challenges for the U.S. Federal Reserve, which usually first protects great banks and Wall Street. That bodes ill for the American "man on the street."
Besides discussing oil, gas, & pipelines to Europe, the Saudis may approach President Putin to explore with them and the Iranians a new modus vivendi that would project a peaceful future for all Muslims, Christians and Jews in the area. After all, the United States has failed abysmally in diplomacy. At long last a new generation of Saudis may be taking the reins of power, and they surely cannot believe that the United States' approach of "bombing & bashing" to achieve diplomatic ends is the correct road to peace & prosperity.
Ominously, there have been reports of the Trump administration being intent upon building a United States military base inside Israeli territory. Ostensibly, the concept driving this foolish policy is the provision of guaranteed security to a largely independent and insecure nation. Putting aside the alleged 200-400 nuclear weapons possessed by Israel, it also has a moderately-sized but very skillful, well-trained military force (IDF). It is aware of the arts & crafts of intelligence operations and terror.
Although it is decidedly unlikely that the Israeli leaders REALLY believe that any part of Israel belongs to anyone other than the Jewish people, they would be willing to create a verbal formulation that might be interpreted as ceding territory. This accommodation would blur-over the issue and allow the United States to build a base. For according to U.S. law, all United States military bases are U.S. Territories, at least for the period of its lease.
This is all very important. If the U.S. military base is constructed in the north of Israel, perhaps near Haifa, any attack upon it would be an attack on America. Congress would probably issue a declaration of war within a half hour of such attack. The Graham-Ryan Bill would probably already be written and ready for signatures. Therefore, any "false flag" attack could be manufactured by the sleaziest intelligence complex in the world and used to frame Iran. Congress declares war, and Trump orders "surgical bombing" of Iran, using small nuclear weapons designed to atomize buildings - not people.
Later, U.S. experts in nuclear decontamination could seize Iranian oil fields to begin the process of making Iranian oil safe for the people of the world. An oil pipeline could soon be constructed through Israel to Europe
So it goes.
