In the last few days I have had to concentrate a lot on the new project that I am developing with the theatre group.
It's an idea that I've had in mind for years and that's finally taking shape and will be realised next month.
For the first time, with our association, we will sell tickets for this activity through the website.
To do this we had to ask the computer manager to make changes to the management system he created. Something not immediate.
This led me to wonder if there are computer solutions that allow cultural associations (therefore non-profit and without money) to manage the association, collect fees and maybe sell tickets or at least collect reservations.
The first thought went to WordPress, perhaps the most famous CMS platform in existence, but at the moment my research has not borne much fruit.
I also tried to look at how other associations do it but I couldn't find a way to understand what system they use for their sites.
The ideal would be a site that allows it to be a management system for the association's accounts but also a site with which to advertise activities and sell tickets for shows. Possibly free. It makes me strange that there is no such thing based on WordPress.
But I'm not going to give up easily. How do small companies do it? Ticketing services retain a percentage ranging from 10% to 30% of the ticket.
With free events there is Eventbrite that works well, but I would like something more personal.

Negli ultimi giorni mi sono dovuto concentrare molto sul nuovo progetto che sto sviluppando con il gruppo di teatro.
È una idea che ho in testa da anni e che finalmente sta prendendo forma e verrà realizzato nel prossimo mese.
Per la prima volta, con la nostra associazione, venderemo attraverso il sito Internet i biglietti per questa attività.
Per farlo abbiamo dovuto chiedere all’informatico di apportare delle modifiche al gestionale che ha creato. Una cosa non immediata.
Questo mi ha portato a chiedermi se esistano delle soluzioni informatiche che permettano alle associazioni culturali (quindi no profit e senza soldi) che permettano di gestire l’associazione, raccogliere le quote e vendere magari dei biglietti o almeno raccogliere le prenotazioni.
Il primo pensiero è andato verso WordPress, forse la piattaforma CMS più famosa esistente, ma al momento le mie ricerche non hanno dato grandi frutti.
Ho provato a guardare anche come fanno altre associazioni ma non ho trovato modo per capire quale sistema usano per i loro siti.
L’ideale sarebbe un sito che permetta di essere un gestionale per i conti della associazione ma anche un sito con cui pubblicizzare le attività e vendere i biglietti per gli spettacoli. Possibilmente gratuito. Mi fa strano che non esista qualcosa di simile basato su WordPress.
Ma non ho intenzione di mollare facilmente. Come fanno le piccole compagnie? I servizi di ticketing trattengono una percentuale che va tra il 10% e il 30% del biglietto.
Con eventi gratuiti c’è Eventbrite che funziona bene, ma vorrei qualcosa di più personale.
Dovrò darmi da fare.
