DIY on how I make beautiful Ankara gown for my baby with headband.

How are we all doing today I hope we are doing fine and how is our families, happy new week to us all .

I’m so happy to be here this morning to this share beautiful gown and head band I made for my baby , I had this piece of fabric at home for a while now and I thought of sewing this beautiful styles for her so I will be showing you the cutting and sewing step .

Cutting step

Firstly I folded the fabric into four then I measure 8” for the half length then I took the horizontal measurement ,the burst is 8” with sewing allowance then the waistline is 8” with sewing allowance after that I measure the neckline to be two and half inches wide and 3” length .

After cutting the upper bodice then I measure 9” length and long enough to make the pleating.

I slit the back neck so as to get opening at back.

Headband

I folded 2” width and 23” long to for the headband and for the bolt tie I folded 4” length and 4” width after cutting then I took it to my sewing machine to join .

Sewing step

I use a piece of fabric to turn the neck and the armhole then I join the both side together then I run the gathers after that I join the headband and I insert the elastic then I iron the dress and it came out beautiful.
