Economic Informal Sectors Begin To Rise

People begin to live normally after 2 years of living under pandemic rules. In Indonesia, the foundation of economic activities is at the grass root level. Informal economic agents like distributors, retailers, producers, and other parties start to go into the marketplace. Traditional markets are full of visitors everyday.
There are only a small number of supermarkets and malls in the small cities in Indonesia. Most economic activities are done in the traditional markets. That is why when malls and supermarkets are closed in a pandemic situation, the supply of products is not disturbed. People still get products from small retailers and traditional markets.

There are no rules for running a small business. You need only cash to rent a space and buy your products. You will get your customers to come to the traditional markets.
As you can see, the chicken meat seller opens her stall in a simple way. You need a barcode to buy those items in traditional markets. Most people do not wear masks or practice social distancing.

New issues about monkey pox and new variants of kopid do not earn more attention from the people. I think the news about that got a low rating, so media outlets will think twice if they want to spread the news about a new pandemic.
People are bored with the rules and they begin to live normally. The hot issue is the rise of fuel and gas. However, the Indonesian government increased the fuel price under 50 % so that the people's reaction is not as strong as the people in Sri Lanka and other countries. Most basic products are still affordable, so that people can still stay calm with the economic conditions.

School students have studied for full hours. In the morning, there will be a traffic jam because all students will go to school at 7 a.m. School activities have triggered the growth of school economic ecosystems. There is more demand for school uniforms, books, shoes, pens, and other school utensils. The demand makes manufacturers increase production. The effect is that the manufacturers will re-employ their workers.

In the end, though the government still apply the copid rules in formal area like train stations, airports, hospitals, most people who do activities in informal areas have lived freely from the copid rules.
