It was 5:00 in the morning, time for Antonio to take his dog for a walk, since his beloved wife always overslept. For Antonio it was a daily routine that he always did before going to work, he did it with pleasure. His start time for work was 8:15 am, if he did not arrive on time he had to pay a fine for being late. That's why he woke up very early in order to do each of his activities.
After a few laps and doing all the walking with his dog, Antonio arrived home at a good time, he sat down to eat some scrambled eggs, toast and what better way to accompany that delicious breakfast than with a cup of coffee. When he went to check the thermos there was no coffee left, so he had to use his electric grinder, this grinder was a birthday gift, however, when he plugged it in it made a short circuit and exploded. His anguish and desperation began to increase, as he needed his coffee before leaving for a day's work.

He made several calls to places where he could get spare parts, but everything was closed, since they opened at 8:30 am, he did not know what to do and did not stop moving from one place to another for not having his grinder. He remembered that his brother had also acquired one just like it, but he lived a few blocks away from home and did not have a car, so he decided to hurry, since the hour was passing and he was getting late.
To make matters worse his dog had grabbed his work shoes to play with and destroyed one of them, now he had two problems on his hands, his coffee and his work clothes, so he looked for other shoes. When he left the house it was drizzling, but that didn't stop him and he left in that weather. When he arrived at his brother's house no one would open the door, since it was early and he was still sleeping, so he decided to enter through the back door as quickly as possible, but he got his coat a little dirty, looked for the grinder and it was gone. Antonio's brother was surprised to see him at home, he told him what had happened and his brother told him that he had sold it just yesterday.
Antonio was almost crying with sadness, it was not his day, he said goodbye and left. When suddenly he heard the siren of his work, he was only a few minutes away from his work hour. The traffic was very congested, thousands of cars were leaving at that time for their jobs, everything was very slow. He received the first call from the secretary, then another and another. Antonio did not want to say anything, since they would not believe him for everything that had happened in that period of time.

Finally he arrived at work all sweaty and almost running, when he entered his colleagues were staring at him because he had shoes that did not match his clothes and the boss was waiting for him in his office, Antonio the only thing he said was that it was because of his grinder that he had arrived late. Between arguments and scoldings he could not solve anything and the only thing he had to do was to pay for his fault, since it was a company rule.
Antonio, upon hearing the amount of what he had to pay, dropped the pencil and left the table without saying anything, with that amount of money Antonio preferred to buy a new grinder and look for another job that was not so demanding with the time of entry. He preferred to be able to enjoy coffee every morning, as it was a relaxing and comforting drink for him. He also told his wife about his crazy day and laughed about what his dog had done, and now they both enjoy their new grinder.
