Trading Log: $POPCAT, My Top Gainers + Earn $ALEO

TradingLog_Popcat.jpg

Greetings traders and other degens!

I have found myself spending a large part of my day researching several crypto projects and analyzing tokens so I thought why not share that valuable information more? Therefore I've decided to step up a bit, improve my social media game, and start publishing posts more often. I will be mainly focusing on trading and finding new crypto investment opportunities while not forgetting other earning ways such as farming airdrops.

So without further ado, let's have a look at my latest trades, ideas, and thoughts!

POPCAT Trade

It's been a while since I was actively trading and because at some point, I had to wipe my hard drive clean, I lost all my cool bookmarked tools. So now I'm pretty much starting from scratch and testing everything to find out which ones fit my needs. Just the other day came across Coinglass and their RSI Heatmap chart.

I use this to find out which coins are overbought or oversold. Instead of drawing RSI onto every single coin and going through every one of them, with this, you can quickly see which ones are popping out.

I promised myself I wasn't going to trade today since I got a little carried away yesterday but that promise did not last for long.

While checking the RSI heatmap I noticed one of my holdings up there in the overbought section. This above is taken later on but you can $POPCAT meme coin there dropping from overbought to the strong section.

After checking out my portfolio notes I noticed POPCAT was in profit so I decided to sell 50% while looking to buy back later on if it fact drops. Here's my POPCAT plan:

  • Bought at $0.94 and $1.41
  • Sold 50% at $1.60
  • Buy target zone: $1.50 - $1.40

Interesting to see how this plays out. Meme coins have been cooling off a bit today but Solana still looks strong and if BTC goes up later on, it'll probably drag SOL & memes along.

As for POPCAT in the long run, I haven't done that much research on it, or at least not as much as with $SPX or $GOAT. It's one of the first meme coins I added to my portfolio along with $WIF and I've come across some pretty bullish posts about it so I wouldn't want to sell all of it.

Then again, if it should surge before reaching my buy target zone I wouldn't mind that either. It's good to take profit, especially on the coins you're not that familiar with or really into.

Top Gainer & Losers

Here are the top gainers of my portfolio arranged by 24-hour performance.

I had a break while writing this post and as we can see, the $POPCAT price is the same as when I sold some of it. However, $MOODENG made a surprise entry by gaining almost 10%. This is something I'm probably going to exit at some point when I do some housecleaning of my portfolio. I feel like Moo Deng is a "one-hit wonder" and while all these new trendy meme coins keep popping up every day, I think some coins need to make room for them.

As for other gainers, I'm glad to see the $TAI price increasing after a downtrend month. Tars Protocol is a very promising project with only a $54 million market cap. They have a fully doxxed team, have been accepted into the Google Startup Program, and are backed by Solana Foundation. That's a low-cap alt to keep an eye out for.

$SPEC and $SPX are tokens I've been talking about a lot on Inleo threads as well as about $GOAT, a trending AI/meme token that seems to be cooling off a bit today.

So, let's take a look at the losers then:

Losers.png

Not many surprises here. $DOGS and $HMSTR were both launched on TON and like $TON itself, the tap-to-earn coins on that chain haven't been performing that well lately. $HMSTR has been awful since the much-criticized airdrop not long ago while $DOGS handled their airdrop very well and showed some strength early on but is now down 20% in 30 days.

On the other hand, $DEAI (yet another AI token) is having a bad day but has been doing extremely well for the past month. Still bullish on this lower-cap coin.

$SAGA just had their Vault 9000 airdrop for the fifth (or sixth time?) and I guess people are dumping their allocations a bit.

Then there's $ALEO which has been performing just terribly. The reason why I'm holding this is the Coinbase Learn Rewards campaign I just finished. If you have a Coinbase account or are willing to go through KYC, you might want to check this out.

Aleo.png

Most of the tasks are about the Aleo chain and are easy to complete. Then there are some mobile tasks where you need to install Aleo Wallet, claim $5 (this is also free on top of the other rewards), stake, swap and add liquidity. Probably the easiest +€20 I've made for a while.

No strings attached but the downside of the Aleo quest is that transactions on that chain are really slow and fees can be very high. For example, I paid 0.9 ALEO for the swap! At the time ALEO was trading at $2.20 so if you are used to Solana or Base, be prepared for Eth mainnet prices. To think of it, that's probably why they added that extra $5...

Now this went a bit off-topic but I like these Coinbase Learn tasks very much actually. Compared to other centralized exchanges such as Binance, Bybit, or Gate.io, the fact that you don't need a >$100 deposit or a weekly trading volume of >$1000 or 5 referrals makes Coinbase's game a pretty straight one. Just complete the tasks, get the tokens, and do whatever you like with them.

That's it for today. More stuff coming up tomorrow. Thank you for reading don't forget to drop your comments below! 👇
