So far this week, mainstream media freaked out over a meme of Stoneman Douglas High Student Emma Gonzalez tearing up The Constitution.
The original undoctored version was part of a series done by the magazine Teen Vogue where Emma was depicted ripping up a target released just days before the March For Our Lives rally.
Second amendment advocates believe that their right to bare arms is at risk, and that a ploy to use children to repeal it, is in fact history repeating itself, as quoted by Adolf Hitler in the book Mein Kampf.
“The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation.”
A perfectly timed “Repeal The Second Amendment” trend on twitter, and a report released by the New York Times which stated that Retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens believes the students and demonstrators who protested this past weekend for gun control should seek a repeal of the Second Amendment.
Check out this clip of John Paul Stevens from 2014 and how he thinks the Second Amendment should be interpreted:
I’m sorry but when the government says you don’t need a gun, thats when you buy two.
If history is repeating itself, we’ve seen or read about confiscation by Mao, Stalin and Hitler and well….we know how that all turned out.
The question here is will 100 million gun owners in the United States be convinced to turn in their guns and believe that they shouldn’t feel threatened by their government?
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say not unless they take them from their cold dead hands.
