I love the fantasy of a certain part of the left to believe that the US has been defeated for years by the Venezuelan government which damages their pretensions to intervention like Panama, Israel or Singapore and create a new government that responds to them.
It is this part of the left that believes that starving in Cuba, with houses in ruins, with shortages and blaming the blockade for every negative thing, is not "Left is Resistance to imperialism".
Mr. Britto for his part is one of those many historians who uses history in his favor, and with the certainty with which he expresses himself seems to be right in his words; History there is a lot, stories there are many more, each person has a different reality and a different way of living it and telling it, what is clear is that in this absurd struggle between the US government and the false resistance and struggle of the Venezuelan government, they are leaving a large number of corpses along the way.
The US government does not want Maduro to continue and wants to impose its "Solutions", Maduro's government is foolish and refuses to give in, neither of them are thinking about the Venezuelan society, they only think about what they think is right.
One of the many realities? Venezuela is turning into a cemetery of dreams and aspirations.
