What is the position of the wife of Gayeshwar daughter-in-law, injured in Nayapaltan?

Advocate Nirupur Roy Chowdhury, president of South Keraniganj unit, was injured in the 'black flag display' program in front of BNP's central office in the capital's Nayapaltan. She is the daughter-in-law of BNP Standing Committee member Karabandi Gayeshwar Chandra Roy.

Nipu Roy was injured when police opened fire and tear gas while performing the program at around 11am on Saturday (February 24th) at the front of the central office without the permission of the authorities. BNP demanded that Nip Roy Roy, who was present there, was injured in the tear gas shell inside the police center office. Then he was sent to the hospital ambulance.

According to law enforcement sources, although the program was called at 11am on Saturday, the BNP and its affiliates and associate organizations were gathering in front of the Nayapaltan central office from 9am.

If they want to do the program by taking the road without permission, the police threw water to their targets. Then the activists were giving different slogans in front of the office.

Meanwhile, the BNP claimed that tear gas was thrown inside the office. The leaders of the party claimed that DB police members detained more than half of the BNP leaders in the program. In addition to Nipora Roy, 15-20 people were injured.

Among the arrested activists, the party's joint secretary-general Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, co-office secretary Belal Ahmed, executive committee member Rasheda Begum and Newaz Halimara were known.

A large number of law and order security forces are deployed in Nayapaltan area to keep the situation under control.
