I randomly stumbled across this YouTube video with only 383 views. The title and description caught my attention and I was very positively surprised. The lyrics really resonated with me and I also found the melody haunting.
I wanted to know more about this mysterious band "Kash Nexus", consisting of 3 gentlemen in front of a green screen with war images, - certainly not a high level production but who cares?! Their heart was clearly in it and I wanted to know their story. So I went to the link in their description - only to find that they have no bio on their Bandcamp or on their Facebook page. All their songs are politically themed which I really like and I had to buy the song "Blood On The Soil".
But who are they? Are they old friends? Truthers? Veterans? I might have to track them down and see if they want to do an interview.
This is their song description:
"This song is about the criminal wars of aggression around the world lead by the U.S and it's present allies. These wars have nothing to do with defeating Terrorism but are predatory wars for control of oil, other resources, markets and cheap labour for the profits and strategic interests of the major Imperialist powers, and primarily U.S. world economic hegemony. These wars have cost millions of lives, mutilated millions more, and driven 50 to 60 million people from there homes.
At the same time the working class around the world is being made pay for the historic crisis of the capitalist system through austerity and major attacks on democratic rights.
Workers of the world unite against Imperialist war, and Capitalism, the source of war."
