It's expected that RFK Jr is going to announce an independent run and some polls suggest that he could take votes from both Trump and Biden. You can already find stories suggesting that he is going to help Trump get re-elected because of the votes he might pull from the left.
Is it a long shot that he might scoop up a win?
It's no surprise that he wouldn't be that successful when looking to challenge the Biden nomination. The official announcement is something that media reports suggest could be coming up fairly soon.
Voters on both sides have expressed favor with this candidate and he speaks on topics that you wouldn't expect a democrat candidate to cover. There is also no surprise that he has gathered some support from the right as well given his stance on certain topics.
How successful is his independent run going to be? At least he will bring a refreshing take on some issues when we continue to hear the same old responses from both sides on issues like foreign policy, spending, and more.
It sure looks like it could make things a bit more complicated for Biden given the favor that he has with a number of voters on the left. If Biden loses it won't be surprising to hear them blame him for taking some of those votes away.
