Merry Steem-mass, fellow steemers! After a week of running around catching up with stuff around the house I'd ignored to study for tests, I'm back for @terrycraft's Steemit Poetry Contest #9. Being the last this year, it's about the holidays (Christmas/New Year).
I decided the best way to go about it was to simply put my feelings on paper. Something short and concise. I've never been a big fan of Christmas (probably since I stopped receiving presents as a kid, heh), and with things in my country as they are...
Well, I'll leave interpreting to you guys. I give you:
Made from resources from TSHIRTVORTEX
to spread the gift of joy.
But Christmas may have come in vain!
The devil with us toys.
his red fat elves instructs.
Give stolen gifts from sources plenty,
our conscience to obstruct.
as tensions remain taut.
Will I hear a different tune?
And will I choose the song?
Afterword
Life is inspiration, and my life is full of intense emotions to fuel my creative spark. Regrettably, a lot of those are negative and stem from the disaster that surrounds me. The only thing left to do is work and try to make the most of it all.
I'd like to take the chance to welcome my friend @andresfer0310 to steemit, as well as @edenci, who just recently found his muse and started killing it (he also made the avatar to the right. Check him out!).
Steem on!
