A poem from tomorrow!
"Today! I see you!
Yesterday you couldn't reach for under,
Today you're now a topper,
you now live longer,
buying things without bother,
hoarding money no wonder,
you feel big to steal someone's brother.
Today!
Yesterday you were a toddler,
Carrying things for a cobbler,
Getting paid for using a duster,
before the water proper.
But today,
You think you're the owner,
Carrying bag full of sober,
You caused other people's soldier,
Marching your way,
Anyone in it will cleft asunder,
You rumble like thunder,
you've gone yonder,
You're old but younger,
you no longer ponder,
You won't pay for launder,
Yet you steal what they'll use for supper.
Your head is big as a pumper,
You're now arrogant and no more softer,
You're now the monster,
Everyone runs from to a bunker,
and I burst into laughter.
For I'm tomorrow and you're today,
All you do couldn't make me but wonder,
If knowing what I knew will help you ponder.
