NATURE

Our dearest nature is a breathtaking phenom,
One that marvels man till date.
It’s the only life base known to man,
In our vast and endless universe.
Enriched with different life-forms,
Each with a unique blueprint,
And all perfect by design.

Nature, man’s heaven here on earth,
Filled and bursting with great energy and life,
Feeding man with all it needs to survive,
Yet replenishing itself,
Without external dependence.
Nature, a true independent design.

Nature, the very foundation of our existence,
On which all life-forms, great and small depends,
Yet so tender and delicate by design,
And easily fractured by the acts of God.
For when the volcanoes erupt or when the tsunamis strike,
Our faith is often lost.
But our lives are hinged on hope and a strong will to survive.

Nature, the intriguing home of man,
From which the quest to know was born,
And from which all study began,
Giving rise to knowledge, science, and discovery,
The perceived languages in which God created everything,

From Nature sprung our curiousity,
One that challenges our minds and thoughts,
Pushing us beyond limits and igniting our creative sense.
So we Build rockets and probes,
Trying to play God in our own little way,
Hoping to conquer the universe,
Still we return home to nature,
For the universe within is different.

Nature is no doubt our only home,
And we are spellbound to it for life.
Sadly, we harm it like there is a spare,
From the ways we treat our environment
(Oil spillage, gas flaring, deforestation, etc),
For just like you and I, nature can also die.
And may one day breathe her last,
If we continue in harm’s way.
