The sky it is still blue. Day 4 of @d-pend's Steemit poetry school. 100 days of poetry challenge.

This is my submission for day 4 for the 100 day poetry challenge.

I have out done my own expectations by making it to day four to be honest.

I think my problem in the past was having the time to be over critical. I would construct and deconstruct, scribble ideas on paper late at night that even I couldn't decipher in the morning sometimes. I become obsessed with word selection.
I know editing and drafts will be important as I progress at Steemit school, but for now I just have to find a little bit of flow. My obsession and perfectionism was working against me and preventing anything from escaping my brain.

Here is my poetry submission for today.

The Sky It Is Still Blue.

Colossal misadventure

Proved missing ingredient

Crucial final additive

A forced expedient

Every day we rode these tracks

The same familiar scene

Discontented safe monotony

Til leaning tilting we careen

Disastrous was the derailment

The sorrow you stockpile

Surrounded by the tragedy

Trapped in all that we ensile

Thankfully we made it out

The sky it is still blue

This time we do it all our way

Rats keep your stagnant queue.

Images once again from pixabay. I find this free image source pretty good and easy to use.

I would love to hear about other free image sites. What do you use?

I usually try to use my own art or ammeter photographic images. At the moment my commitment to strain some kind of verse from my brain and post every day has consumed me, so I am very grateful to the artist on pixabay for their work.
