The sound of the dawn is music ---
Cackling morning roosters and proud crickets
Green leaves waltzing with the wind
Sun cheerfully shining rays of life
First hour of the day's a miracle
Breaking the long eerie darkness
Touching tiny fleshes on the ground
Waking up with a burning soul
I am but a wanderer of the night
Ravenous, bloodthirsty foul fiend
Feared in the books and dark alleys
Curse-born demon in fancy suit and cloak
Yet, I love the holy dazzling sun
Those glorious golden rays it shines
Bestowing life and love and hope
Driving coldness and pain aside
Yet, I can never touch nor kiss it
For it was never made mine
Meant to be a being of sunless night
And love it in distant eternal darkness
It will pierce through my existence
Burn my lashes and pale cheeks
Smolder my elvish ears and ferocious fangs
Erase my loving dark soul
So I will stay brittle and lonely
Behind the shadows of your adorned light.
I have never been so wrong in my life
But I have never felt so right
Hello Steemians! Today I show you a poem about a vampire ironically loving the daylight. I portrayed another side of the story we always believed even as a child. We always remember the 'bad things' done by a certain person, neglecting their beautiful sides. This poem also implies that we should not let our judgment cloud over us and use our senses to justify whether the claim is true or not.
(Note: Whether the vampires are true or not, you should run from it. Their nature will endanger you.)
(Another note: This is actually a melancholic metaphor of my life as a lover. so sad)
