Where are the succulents hiding?

Hi Steemit! Today I again went in search of succulents. A week passed and I hoped that there would be fresh arrivals of plants. A lot of flowering plants were brought for the holidays, but unfortunately no new succulents appeared. The situation was exactly the same as last week, but the plants were in worse condition.

Do you know why plants spoil in stores?
Succulents arrive in stores after a long drive. They travel in cramped, stuffy conditions. Shopping centers also welcome plants with the absence of windows, that is, the lack of natural light, the lack of fresh air, cramped shelves, eternal dampness and the depressing appearance of the “corpses” of previously arrived plants. That is, still fresh plants are put on the shelves, but those who stayed in the store stand nearby, possibly for months. Spores of fungi and mold quickly spread to newly arrived plants, not to mention ordinary pests. The following are the instructions of the sellers, according to which all plants should be watered. I myself saw an experienced employee teaching beginners: "These are succulents, they usually do not like water, but they need to be watered every day." Watering is the same for all plants, from above from a hose. It turns out those succulents who buy faster survive.

What to do about it?
Option 1. Follow updates in stores, buy only fresh succulents. You can easily distinguish them in appearance. Do not be afraid of imported succulents, often among them you can find interesting specimens. In addition, in stores, the price usually depends on the size of the pot and not on the rarity and beauty of the succulent !;)

And the second option. Do not mess with imported succulents. Purchase plants from collectors nearby. Even if the plant needs to overcome postal delivery, this path will be shorter. Succulents in private collections, not grown on an industrial scale, each plant receives attention. The probability of getting a plant affected by diseases or pests is extremely small.

I will show you some photos of flowering plants brought to the holidays. The smell of these flowers was so strong that the workers had to open the doors and blow air from the street.
