#771 - Quezon city shots for Sunday.
Greetings dearest Hiveans. It's the first day of the week once again and had to be awake early because of school time wherein my son went out early at six. Also, just wanted to share that yesterday which was Sunday was family for us aside from the Palm Sunday that was celebrated. This month was my birthday and I was not able to treat my family but since yesterday we have some available funds so we told everyone that my wife and I will treat them to a small restaurant in open air without air-conditioning and also just beside a busy road.
So we all went to that restaurant which is in another city, Quezon city, about eight kilometers away from our location is the Gudo's Pizzeria which we often ate at for birthdays. So when we arrived there we were the only customers because it was three in the afternoon. There's about eight of us and we ordered three steaks, two sausages, three roasted chickens, two pastas and three pizzas. It was a lot to eat but we all managed to finished it all, well mostly since we have some pizza leftovers just about five slices left. The nex four shots were taken which show the food except the chicken which was not photographed, I did missed that one. The menus are cheap compared to fancy restaurants, my wife and I only paid 3,600 pesos which os about $64 for eight individuals so that's a great deal already in my opinion. We only do this once is s while when there are birthdays within the family circle. Most of the time we are just at home and saving as much as we can for the bills, groceries, tuition and other expenses.
Then after almost an hour of getting our bellies full, we wanted to go somewhere where we can walk and burn some of the calories that we have consumed and there is a place in the same city which is still being developed. We got there after twenty minutes of drive since there's not much traffic during the weekend. We just walked around and found this mercato area, market area where different types of food are offered.
There's too many to chose from but we are already full when we arrived so we just walked around and tried these circular food offered for a hefty price of $3 which is too much but we got curious what it is since it's my first time seeing it. The vendor said it's a sweet eaten best while cold. So he got this huge container and fill the small cup with liquid nitrogen which immediately cooled the sweets. We ate it afterwards and it's indeed cold even the paper cup container it's on is also cold. There's also some kind of junk food similar to these sweets but those are hollow on in the inside and can easily melt in the mouth, these candies take time since it's cold.
Then after taking or eating this circle sweet we continue to walk around and found this giant statue that is still not completely finished. There are still barriers around the object, it looks like in stainless steel and the statue is named Victor which I believe also represent the Filipino hard work.
