Artzone Photo: Undervalued buildings

Hello, beautiful people!

First of all I want to thank you for this wonderful contest and opportunity. And I would like to compliment each one of the participants, because there are very good pictures taking part. Without further ado, I leave you my picture and then I will tell you its little story.

This photo was taken in the center of Maracaibo, to be more specific, in the Almirante Padilla district. The Historic Center of Maracaibo was declared a Historic Value Zone on October 15 of 1990.

The center, previously abandoned and careless, now is being restored by the government. The most noticeable of these are the colonial and colorful houses and buildings that remain there - although most of them are in terrible condition - being used by different entities and for different purposes.

The center continues being of great significance to the Marabino, especially because the bright colors of these colonial houses represent the jovial soul that has always accompanied its people. Lately I've been walking a lot around these houses, and I couldn't avoid photographing several buildings.

I wish the best to all the participants!
