Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan through my lens

Hello everyone,
I wanted to share the reason I started posting on Steemit again. I told you in my last post that I got a sudden hit of inspiration that made me take my gear out and start taking photos again.

We had a sunny weekend here in Belgrade, or at least Saturday was sunny. So we decided to make the most of it, by taking a long walk in one of the most popular places in Belgrade, Kalemegdan.

I saw thousands of photos of it, and some were very good. But Kalemegdan in all it's beauty and glory sometimes looked gloomy and dark to me, so I made few shots of the way I see it.

Belgrade Fortress, consists of the old citadel (Upper and Lower Town) and Kalemegdan on the confluence of the River Sava and Danube, in an urban area of modern Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. It is located in Belgrade's municipality of Stari Grad. Belgrade Fortress was declared a Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1979, and is protected by the Republic of Serbia. It is the most visited tourist attraction in Belgrade, with Skadarlija being the second. Since the admission is free, it is estimated that the total number of visitors (foreign, domestic, citizens of Belgrade) is over 2 million yearly.

It is always filled with people, locals and tourists, but my favorite part are those who see it as just another place to rest and recharge.

And for the end we climbed one of the towers to make this panoramic photo, of our lovely town.

I hope you enjoyed my view of Belgrade Fortress, and be sure to leave a comment telling me what's your favorite photo and favorite place for a walk.

Best regards,
Janos
