Celebreting Wheel of the Year

Modern pagans

Every year when the day is the longest we make a bonfire, gather up to eat, drink and dance. We call it Jaanipäev but in modern paganism the names vary. W have done this for centuries and it's the most important holiday in Estonia.

Though since the arrival of Christianity, the day was named St John's Eve by the extremist crusaders. To this day extremist Christians still try to change the age old pagan beliefs and rituals as they do their best to forcefully rename them (like lighting the bonfires and jumping over them, eating, drinking, singing and dancing all through the night, predicting the future and some other romantic tradition.
