Why They Are Called Flower Girls

Aside from rosy cheeks and curled tendrils, her cruise down the aisle is one of the biggest shows they anticipate in a wedding day, though having a flower girl is optional. She follows the ring bearer or, sometimes, she will even precede the bride. In her lil hands, she totes a basket full of pastel-colored petals, sometimes, candles wrapped laces and beads, or confetti.

A flower girl is usually an adorable little lady aged three to eight who proceeds down the aisle just before the maid of honor, scattering rose petals or other kind of flower along the bridal path. Alternately, she can carry an eye-catching bloom, a pomander (a lush ball of flowers), or blow bubbles. Aren't they the cutest?

She's a lil miss who's so special in every way that she's asked to be part of the bride's big day.
