Abandoned. photography

During one of my recent drive-arounds with friends we did a pitstop to stretch our legs and check out the lone chimney we saw standing near the road.

The chimney was gated off from our path, but the area provided us with some cool snaps.

Today's post will not bring a deep story with it, rather some abandoned photography, that everyone can attach a story to themselves.

Entry point. The gate is invitingly open, just a bit, to arouse our interest. Just have to point out that the area doesn't seem to have any fences, so the gate's role is ceremonial.

We're greeted with darkening skies and buildings with windows as hollow eyes. The nature, however, is quite lush here. That's what happens, when men leave - nature will start reclaiming it's own.

A computer chair, a front bumper and some tires are common inhabitants of places like this.

If you watch closely at some of the snaps, you can see that all of the buildings have stairs removed or destroyed, so that people could not climb in the ruins.

A lonely barrel is accompanied by some happy graffiti... strange, it makes the place feel even more deserted now.

On the photo below, you can see two great hangars destroyed. Why? What's the story here?

In a couple more years, the pavement will have given up fighting the nature. Trees, plantation, weather will do their part.

Some of the walls on the roof look crumbly. Perhaps it was a good idea to remove the stairs on all buildings.

Thank you for checking my abandoned photography posts!
