Photography - Lantern

On an old brown fence
once hung a lantern
her light was felt to be cozy, warm,
you could see it from afar.

As pleasant as their bright light
ghostly, often in the dark,
her lights were clear and pure,
almost like the twinkling of stars.

She already showed many the way
that they couldn't find on their own
always guarded the narrow walkway,
where lovers stood.

Lit the way
with her little sisters
often she rocked wildly in the storm,
It seems to me as if it was only yesterday.

Her glass has long since broken,
rusted, their case,
in her, there romp around for fun,
two young, gray mice.

Even if it breaks apart
I loved her so much
the flame does not go out in me,
the light from the lantern.
