I am freely choose to put jam on my bread instead of lard!
No, you rather choose jam because you like the taste better. Don't agree? When did you freely decided that you will like the taste of the jam?
How do we have free will if we are not thinking?
If we can believe that the world is black and white, we just saved ourselves from a lots of thinking about other possibilities, planning (rather not planning) is much easier than playing through all the possible scenarios in our heads before decisions. We just follow the surface tendencies, which have the highest possibility to be right anyways.
Not a color
We shouldn't forget that the color white is not "a" color, it is all the colors together, and black is just the absence of light.
It might doesn't matter, but what if we all just dilute ourselves into unrealistic world views? What if we listen to people who will utilize our absence of knowledge for their own good? Can we realize that we are on the wrong path before it's too late? Or will somebody come later and manipulate us into a better future?
Will we blame somebody else or ourselves?
[...] the truly free individual is free only to the extent of his own self-mastery. While those who will not govern themselves are condemned to find masters to govern over them.
Steven Pressfield
Know yourself!
Are you really free? Is there any emotions driving you hidden inside? Maybe you can not notice at first but it is most probably the case.
I am preconditioned
Yeah, easy for me because my past experiences made me question everything, all the time. Not because I want it, it's just happens automatically. I must say that it is not easy at all. Thinking over and over about everything is very tiring. Still the only possible way to see a little clearer.
I might come a little off topic:) Think of this as a precondition for your future, to look inside before you make your "free decision"!
