I've seen some passionate arguments in #philosophy this week. It's easy to get caught up in an argument, but personally I am thankful that people care enough not just about truth but the right methods for seeking truth. Let's keep the ideas and debate flowing in #philosophy!

Selections for 12.8.2016:

Mathematical Facts are considered the bedrock of objectivity. @profitgenerator begs to differ. While his points are ones that many Mathematicians and Scientists would agree with, his conclusions are more controversial.

As you peruse #philosophy on steemit, you must stay vigilant against logical fallacies. @dwinblood discusses False Dichotomy and illustrates with two familiar examples. While the topics are controversial, the point is to see that there are more than two perspectives on all issues.

Can you be too skeptical? What about too credulous? @churdtzu asks: what is the right way to question a premis?

Honorable mention: Futurism geekout

@sweetssj

While this post is more speculative than philosophical, I am a singularity nerd. If that's a real thing anyway. I am glad to see @sweetssj using her influence to call attention to futurist ideas.
