Walk of Hope Update : something is brewing in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental

After the recent Udyakan Festival at Kabankalan, Kuya Marlon aka @flabbergast-art and his team have just had a meeting with the other Creatives from Kabankalan, together with a group of indigenous tribe for an Art workshop for their youth, ages 18 and below. We found out that the some of the kids are worried for they are about to lose their scholarships due to the fact that they have not been attending their classes due to financial restraints.

The only solution that they can think of is to teach the parents some means of livelihood, similar to the bamboo crafts that Kuya Marlon did for the out of school youth in Bayawan City last April. As of now, I am waiting for the finalisation of this plan to see how @walkofhope can help.

How the local government's involvement to this is also uncertain as of now, but once we know, we will start to raise funds. I hope soon as the target date is end of August or beginning of September.

Further updates to follow.
