In this post we'll start to talk about the following things:
Another Player earned a Level Up Reward!
How does SPEED work?

Possible HBD for VOLTs issue.
How to #Play2Earn?
Profit Sharing
Congrats to @ieronimus on your Level Reward!
Player @ieronimus is the third to reach Level 10 which triggers a 1000 VOLT reward! It is done manually as I notice the milestone, and I have just sent the 1000 VOLTs. First to hit level 10 was @cryptobro1991 and second was @ironshield so congrats to them as well!
Who will be next to Level 10 and 1000 VOLTs? 3 of us are Level 9, including me.
Did you know
that there is a Level 15 Reward too? Hit that milestone and get 1500 VOLTs.
For now, these rewards are done manually so @ me (@kenny-crane) if I don't notice your milestone!
Let's Talk About the SPEED Stat
Your Battle Cards have 4 stats - Health, Armor, Speed and Attack.
Health decreases when your card is Attacked, easy enough to understand. 0 health and your card is defeated and leaves the battle.
Armor takes damage first if hit by a Melee or Range, but Magic Attack goes right to work on your Health.
Attack is how much damage you do to Armor and/or Health, as per above.
What about SPEED?
Speed determines 2 things - when in the Round your card attacks, and the probability of a fizzle (failure to attack) when it is your turn to attack.
- Attack Order
Every card gets to attack once per round, provided that it is still alive when it is its turn to attack. In each Round, cards are sorted in Speed order, from highest to lowest. The highest Speed card attacks first, and then the other cards attack in Speed order.
If 2 or more cards have the same Speed, after higher Speed cards have attacked and it is their turn to attack, the cards with the same Speed are ordered RANDOMLY.
Then they attack in this random order. Then the next lower SPEED card or cards attack until all cards alive have attacked. If each side has cards after this Round, another Round starts.
- Fizzles!
When a card attacks, it will be attacking the Number One card (first card) of its opponent.
If the attacking card has a higher Speed than the defending card, the Attack will happen with no chance of Fizzle, which is a failure to land the attack.
If the attacking card is the same Speed as the defender, there is a 1% chance of Fizzle. So 99% of the time the attack will succeed (not fail/fizzle).
As the difference between the Speeds increase, the attack success odds go from 99 to 98, 95, 90, 83, 74, 63, 50, 35, 18, 10. There is never less than a 10% chance of attack success regardless of how much difference there is in Speed.
For example:
The defending card is Speed 3. Your attacking card is Speed 4. Your attack can not fail.
The defending card is Speed 7. Your attacking card is Speed 4. Your attack has a 90% probability of success and a 10% chance to fail.
The defending card is Speed 17. Your attacking card is Speed 4. Your attack has a 10% probability of success and a 90% chance to fail.
