Dear Steemians,
[Note : Go straight to the bottom if you are here only for the music]
Firstly we want to thank:
- @hendrikdegrote for his generous upvote for the last post.
- the 5 judges @verbal-d @soundlegion @passion-ground @krystle @jessamynorchard for going through a ton of posts giving inspiring responses and making very tough decisions. &
- @pfunk and @luzcypher for funding this competition and sustaining this thriving community.
- The openmic/steemit community for their active participation and support.
We are not sure if we missed out any names. Do let us know if we have.
With blockchain influencing our thoughts everyday, we wanted to experiment with our own tokens. We call ours Mogold :P. These tokens are currently meant to be exchanged between a community of artists in Boston. We realized that faith of the steemit community involves consistency and quality (and quantity) in posts. This is our attempt at turning Mogati Labs into a content generating machine.
This is the eagles view of the experiment.
Our little experiment has evolved into a system.
Check out our website www.mogatilabs.com for more info on Mogold tokens. This is very new and a work in progress. Hopefully it has enough information to shine some clarity on what we are up to.
Now to the fun part!!!
We have 3 videos for you this week - different performances/versions of one of our songs.
1) 'Calor' December 2017 - One of our rehearsal takes played as a quartet with @choby and @kaileyzercher. Originally recorded for week 61 but never ended up posting it. This one is brand new - meant to be this weeks "unofficial" entry.
2) 'Calor' November 2017- We recorded this for week 58. This was just us as a duo - got an amazing response, a decent payout and won first place :). Thank you all so much!!
3) 'Calor' October 2016 - This was our first ever performance. In this performance we have pianist Ghanaru Trangono and @kaileyzercher on violin.

LYRICS:
Calor
Warmth
I went to find with whom to sit and look around
The sea is calm, it's perfect to fly
To fly, to fly
Time is a wall with long hands
I’m going with the breeze and its warm calm
Time is a wall with long hands
I’m going with the breeze and its warm calm
It was the words that I still have on my palate
Barking, shouting, mountains of anxiety
If I could find the sea…
To fly, to fly
Time is a wall with long hands
I’m going with the breeze and its warm calm
Time is a wall with long hands
I’m going with the breeze and its warm calm
Warmth in my back when I don’t keep anything inside
There is nothing else to do but to accept the days to come...
Thank you all again so much! We hope that this experiment of ours somehow adds value to the openmic community and the entire platform.
