A Long wait for a Quick Mural Piece

Got home tired today and I shouldn't be home tired as hell. I just came back home from a project, a small and quick mural painting piece. A simple lettering a made for a wall back at the resort where I had my last two huge projects with. This time they asked me to paint their Cafe's logo on their wall. It suppossed to be simple and quick. But I waited too freaking long to apply the piece on their wall.

Here's the piece I made

So, here's why I got to wait too long for this piece to be painted.

Around 10 am last thursday, June 21, 2018. They Called me out saying that my service was needed urgently. They said that they we're preppin' a wall for me to paint their cafe's logo on it.

This was the logo that they wanted me to paint on their wall.

Just the "Cafe '92" word tho, but they wanted me to make it white on their wall.

So, I had all my stuffs geared up and my bro to take me to Gumasa, Glan, Sarangani Province, Philippines. A 2 hour drive from my home town, Tupi, South Cotabato. Promised them(my family) to fill the car's gas after finishing the project.

So, my bro took me their and I was quite dissapointed on what I saw. The wall wasn't half finished.

This is what the wall looked like when I first came to check out the site.

It only had a couple of block on it and a lot of time to finish it out. I was ready to paint, but the wall itself was not ready for me. So, I had to head back home done nothing and promised my clients that I'll be back early on the next day to paint the wall.

Sadly, when I came back. It was still unfinished! Yeah, they fill the wall with cement but the floor was left to be applied with cement and I had to wait another day for the floor to dry up and also wait for their people to apply primer on the wall.

I was left to waste some time waiting for the wall to be finished, spent my time scrolling on my phone and slept on the cottage of their beach. Since, they never offered me any room for me to have a good rest. Until, finally came the morning and the wall was completely primered, along with the floor completely dried up.

Then, I started my painting. Quickly, I sketched the wall with chalk and started out filling the sketch with paint. Waterbased ones. It was just white.

Since our canvass was black, one coat of white wouldn't be enough, so I had to wait for it to dry for a lil' bit and reapply paint on the piece.

Had to use a large brush to make to work quick.

To ensure that our paint won't be blur ish on our end game, I had to wait another time for the paint to dry up before finalizing the piece.

After an hour, the paint dried up and finally filled it with it's third coating.

Before finishing it off. Took all the chalk off first. And, this is what we got!

2 hours of work waited for a full day.

That's it guys! I'm think I'm done. It may have been a wasting time waiting before this piece was applied. Still had a lot fun staying on the resort, not just the relaxing place, but the food they serve there. Also thinking that another piece was done today, still look forward on making another one tho. Well, I hope you'd still support me on my art journey and once again, this is @ianceaz saying thanks for dropping by.
