Listen to these Republican Swamp Monsters squeal

Time is running out for Trump to chop back the wasteful $1.3 Trillion Omnibus bill.  Trump and OMB Director Mick Mulvaney are looking to use Impoundment to cut the size of the second largest Omnibus bill ever passed in history back.

With the nation $21 Trillion in debt and this bill blowing out the annual budget deficit to over $1 Trillion a year - one could well ask how the Omnibus bill ever made it to the floor of the Senate or how so many Republicans in the House could have supported the $1.3 Trillion Omnibus Bill.

As momentum grows to roll back this wasteful spending, the usual Republican Swamp Monsters are fighting back against the effort:

Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-N.J.)

Politico reports that "Frelinghuysen (R-N.J.) is among more than a half-dozen appropriators who have voiced skepticism about the Trump administration’s proposal to cancel billions in spending."

Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL)

“We need to look at what we agreed on with the other side and keep our word, keep our agreements. . .  Rescissions (Impoundment) has never been a big thing over here. . .  You don’t throw your friends [aka lobbists] under the bus who did exactly what you wanted them to do”

Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.)

“It’s hard enough to make a bargain around here. But you can’t break your word when you do. ... You’d never have another deal ever.” [What about when you gave your word to voters that you would cut spending to reduce the federal deficit and reign in the national debt.]

 Rep. Charlie Dent (R-Pa.)

“It seems like this is just an exercise in appeasing the president and the Republican ‘no’ votes on the omnibus . . .  We could have made the original budget framework smaller. I would have been fine with that” [Well Charlie - why didn't you make the original Omnibus Bill smaller and more fiscally responsible?]

Do not let these swamp monsters win. Call you Rep or Senator and let them know you want the $1.3 Trillion Omnibus Bill cut back to a more responsible level.

Here is a quick quiz to determine of your local Republican is a Swamp Monster.
