Asus officially confirmed unveiling the next-gen smartphones at the MWC 2018 by sending Press invitations. From the teaser image, we can confirm the new Zenfone 5 series devices. While we have seen leaks about the Zenfone 5 Lite and Zenfone 5 Max smartphones, now we got some to hear about another Zenfone.
Now, Asus will also launch its own high-performance gaming smartphone competing directly against the Razer Phone. Just like Razer, Asus also has experience in making gaming laptops under the ROG brand. As of now, there is not much information available about the the gaming smartphone. Instead of the Zenfone brand, we hope to see the company’s first ever gaming-centric smartphone under the ROG brand. Talking about the high-end Zenfone 5 smartphones, the company will be launching Zenfone 5, Zenfone Max Pro M1, and Zenfone 5z in the first half of 2018.
We also have reports about the possible launch of gaming-centric smartphone from Xiaomi’s Black Shark . So now we have a new market of gaming-centric & all the big players from that stream will want a piece of it & we will see many options. I hope that battery life will not get traded for perfomance & looks for durability & that about sums it up as Gaming already means ordinance & optimisation.
