Senior Citizens still can work in Starbucks Coffee House-Posted(October 24,2018)

Starbucks is one of the most popular coffee shops in the world!It was founded in Seattle Washington in 1971.

In the recent news,Starbucks Coffeehouse partnered with the organization National Institute for Older Persons,where they established a branch in Colonia del Valle last August this year. This tandem aims to give Mexican Senior Citizens more job opportunities and extra income too.

Statistics from the UN revealed that,many Mexicans especially the Senior Citizens are rapidly increasing and there were only less death rates in the place.The organization decided and planned to let them work while and give chance to serve people.

Starbucks Coffehouse Branch hired approximately 14 Senior Citizens from aged 50-60.These old workers will work as a regular workers and they will join together with the younger workers. They will be trained again on how to handle customers well and will be willing to adjust to some work routines.They are only going to work six hours and a half everyday.They will also be given 2 days off and entitled to receive an health insurance as well.Starbucks only hires those senior citizens who are physically fit to work.

In line with the company's mission to help Mexican Senior Citizens to work,they are planning to hire 120 elderly employees until in the year 2019.

On the other hand,Singaporean cafe called Reach Community Cafe is also managed by old workers.The old workers have their own individual tasks to do.Some work in brewing,serving coffees,cashier,cooking and interacting elderly customers.In this way,will help the seniors to ease their loneliness in their coming old age and at the same time enjoy the retirement stage as well.
