Governor of Aceh Irwandi Yusuf openly and clearly stated banning the celebration of Valentine's Day in Aceh Province. The statement was confirmed Irwandi Yusuf through his facebook account Orwandi Yusuf on February 14, 2018 in the morning.
Irwandi even asked immediately reported to the UN if there are certain parties who do not like the decision, instead of pitting the sheep between himself and the people of Aceh and ulama.
More firmly the Governor of Aceh does not care if there are people who try membully him because of his decision that prohibits the culture is not in accordance with Islamic Shari'a.
Previously Irwandi Yusuf was criticized by the people of Aceh because his statement was considered not according to the wishes of the people of Aceh who uphold the virtues of virtue based on the rules of Islamic Shari'ah, but the husband of Darwati A Gani immediately give clarification to the public.
Gubernur Aceh Irwandi Yusuf secara terbuka dan jelas menyatakan melarang perayaan Valentine’s Day di Provinsi Aceh. Pernyataan tersebut ditegaskan Irwandi Yusuf melalui akun facebook miliknya Orwandi Yusuf pada 14 Februari 2018 dini hari.
Irwandi bahkan meminta segera dilaporkan ke PBB apabila ada pihak tertentu yang tidak menyukai keputusannya itu, bukan malah mengadu domba antara dirinya dengan masyarakat Aceh dan ulama.
Lebih tegas Gubernur Aceh tidak peduli bila ada orang yang mencoba membully dirinya karena keputusannya yang melarang budaya tidak sesuai dengan Syariat Islam itu.
Sebelumnya Irwandi Yusuf sempat dikecam masyarakat Aceh karena pernyataannya yang dianggap tidak sesuai keinginan masyarakat Aceh yang menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai kebaikan berdasarkan aturan Syariat Islam, namun suami Darwati A Gani ini segera memberikan klarifikasi kepada publik.
