The Green Trade Initiative Foundation (YIDH) plans to invest in the community-based fisheries and agriculture sector in East Aceh District.
YIDH Investment Manager, Zufitra Agusta said, East Aceh Regency is an area rich in natural potential. To help manage it, he said, his party is currently eyeing two superior sectors namely marine and agriculture.
"In the initial stage, we will do a thorough mapping to see what sectors are the most potential. For its sustainability, we will see the readiness of the East Aceh government, "said Zulfitra after meeting with the East Aceh Regent in the Dekranasda Hall, Wednesday, February 26, 2020.
YIDH, he said, has long-term prospects in investing. In addition to providing capital, they also have a coaching concept in educating farmers. YIDH also offers, the concept of protecting (protecting) the forest and protecting the ecosystem in it as well as realizing community welfare.
"YIDH took the initiative to help sustainably finance. We don't come after coming in then we just stay. But besides investors we have a mission of learning (good learning) in money management, and increasing land productivity for farmers, "he said.
He added, his party would also bring buyer partners who would later accommodate the results of farmers in East Aceh.
Agus added, in the future YIDH will be ready to invest with an initial budget of Rp 50 billion to Rp 70 billion.
"Later we ask the person in charge in the area to make a proposal how much their needs are," he concluded.
East Aceh Regent H. Hasballah Bin H M Thaib, SH welcomed YIDH's efforts to invest in East Aceh. This program is certainly expected to have a positive impact on the economic growth of farmers later.
"The Government of East Aceh is opening up space and fully supporting this investment," said Regent Hasballah.
According to the Regent in addition to the mission of investing YIDH will also provide solutions to farmers in the interior of East Aceh who are currently in conflict with elephant animals.
"The number of conflicts between elephants and farmers is recognized as high as in Seumanah Jaya. So the Government together with IDH will later go in to look for good ways of financing farmers and look for alternative crops that are not favored by elephants, "he said.
On that occasion, the Regent of Rocky also offered his interest in Robusta coffee cultivation. Because these plants flourish and promise for the welfare of farmers.
"The potential of Robusta coffee in the Lokop region is very much. So in the future by comparing IDH, we will focus on planting as wide as possible so that in the future East Aceh will have its own coffee income product, "concluded the Regent.
