Arianna is leaving her Post!
Two days ago, Arianna Huffington announced that she is leaving the Huffington Post. She launched it 11 years ago an turned it into a publishing giant.

But why did she leave?
In her own words: "I thought it would be possible to build a startup and continue as editor in chief of the Huffington Post. Today, it’s clear that was an illusion."
Did she say "startup"? What startup?
Her new "baby" is Thrive Global and it wants to be a "corporate and consumer well-being and productivity" company. At least for the beginning, it seems like they will be focusing on food and nutrition, sleep education and physical training.
She also said that “running both companies would have involved working around the clock, which would be a betrayal of the very principles of Thrive.”
Hmmm... Maybe...
But here's another thing: Verizon recently bought Yahoo. Yahoo owns AOL. And AOL owns Huffington Post. So, “she wouldn’t have the same position she has now. There would be a lot of other people in the room” said a source who knows the situation.
The truth is probably somewhere in between.
The thing is that she left. And we'll see if Thrive Global will be as successfull as HuffPo.
