Introducing 3 new projects that I may be building out over the coming months…
Valencia Vibes @valenciavibes
As I currently live in Valencia, this could be a big focus going forward. Yes, I write Valencia and other content under this account but it’s not a bad idea to have something specifically Valencia/Spain based, so not just about me but about the city/country that others can get involved with.
This would be events, things to do/see, the people and general happenings. There are ideas for a podcast and other things, food and drink, day trips and more!
Devon Delights @devondelights
Same principle as above. The difference being I am actually from Devon, England. I’d like to have a unique account that promotes and showcases not just my activity there, but also the county in general (or more specifically the part I’m from).
A lot will depend where I base myself longer term. If it’s Valencia, Devon (or elsewhere) then I’m obviously going to lean towards that place as I’m ‘on the ground’ as it were. Although, I can still produce content for the other place(s) but the motivation to do so - and time - may not be there so won’t have so much of a focus.
Mediocrity to Mastery @ToMastery
Personal growth is another arena that I’ve studied and written about over the years. Again, it’s fine using my main account but I thought it may be a good idea to separate it out, give a specific focus.
That kind of stuff isn’t everyone’s cup of tea… of course, people are all developing personally, but are not into overt ‘personal development’ per se. This gives a place where me and others can post unashamedly and not confuse the main account too much.
I set these up as future projects I can flesh out or have up my sleeve for when the time’s right. As I say, a lot depends on where I’m living as to anything location based and the personal growth content can be anywhere of course.
If in doubt, I’ll just keep using my main @adambarratt account as I’d still like to build that to its full potential. Problem is, I occasionally write on Sports, Leo and other subjects. It’s good we have the tribes/communities which help with differentiation but sometimes a separate account makes sense.
And even though you have separate communities and interfaces, many people do just read through Hive Blog and PeakD (maybe that’s now and not so much in the future when things are more established). On the flip side, that’s a whole set of new accounts to build up and you have the danger of spreading yourself too thin.
Feel free to follow these accounts, give any thoughts on the above, and tips of what you'd like to see! Adam@adambarratt
