Myths & Legends Contest week 3- The wrath of Poseidon

@nymia.aryn is back with your contest Myths & Legends Contest week 3
where he invites us to illustrate a mythological being of Greek, Roman, Egyptian or Nordic beliefs, among others.

For this week I brought from Olympus one of the three most sacred Gods of the Greeks, Poseidon the God and king of all seas, brother of Zeus and Hades, with whom he came together to kill his father Cronus. In this version I brought a middle-aged warrior, furious about to exert all his power against the one who has wounded him in combat. I hope you like it:

Process

The process of the sketch was somewhat complicated, I had never tried to make a character in this freehand position if there was no reference, once I had obtained the base of the drawing I began to draw the sketch until I had the full outline, including the strong shadows.

For the coloring I began mainly by the skin, adding a base to then add the shadows with a darker tone and accenting them with a marker, after adding the color to the whole character detail the effects of the brightness of the armor, of the trident, then To obtain the deep sea tonality I drew a base with a ballpoint pen that I deepened with the color before the ink dried.

Once the drawing is finished, open the file in Photoshop CS6 to correct the levels of contrast and lighting and give more tonality to the levels of colors in it.

With the same program I made several layers of the procedure and with the option "create animation of frames" I made the GIF of all the phases of the drawing.
